Rubies
The stone our family has traded longest — and the one Jaipur's own gemstone community has always turned to us to evaluate.
What Makes a Fine Natural Ruby
Not every red stone is a ruby, and not every ruby is unheated. Corundum's most prized variety earns its rarity through a specific combination of factors: a pure, vivid red hue — often called "pigeon's blood" in the finest stones — strong clarity relative to typical ruby inclusions, and, critically, its treatment history. A natural, unheated ruby of fine color is significantly rarer, and more valuable, than a heat-treated stone of similar visual appearance.
Every ruby we offer is independently certified by GIA or GRS, with treatment status stated plainly on every listing — never implied, never left vague.
Our Approach
Three Generations of Knowing the Difference
Long before laboratory certification existed as it does today, our family's reputation in Jaipur's gemstone markets was built on a simple thing: knowing a fine ruby when we saw one. That expert eye, passed from grandfather to father to the present generation, works alongside GIA and GRS certification on every stone we offer today — never as a replacement for it, always as a complement.
